About

I am a PhD student in computer science at Indiana University Bloomington, where I do research in artificial intelligence (specifically, on knowledge characterization and introspective reasoning). You can read more about my graduate work on my grad-school website.

Before coming to Bloomington, I was a student at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where I earned a BS in computer science. I grew up in a small town in West Virginia.

For entertainment, I enjoy exploring, playing violin, listening to music, watching movies and TV, and cooking.

The site is named, and the logo patterned, after a lamp belonging originally to my grandparents and now to my parents.
